Sift together:
2 1/2 c flour
1 t baking soda
1 t cream of tartar
Cream together well:
2 sticks of butter (room temp)
1 c sugar
1 egg
1 t vanilla
Combine dry ingredients with creamed ingredients 1/2 cup at a time.
Once combined roll dough into small balls and press down with a sugared fork or bottom of a sugared glass. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
