Tomato Tortellini Soup - Holly Krause

2 T butter

2 T olive oil

3 garlic cloves crushed

1 medium onion

1 T basil

1 T chives

½ t pepper

2 cans vegetable broth

2 cans tomato soup

1 large and 1 small can diced tomatoes (for the small can I use chili ready for a little extra spice)

2 pkg. pre cooked tortellini, any flavor (if dry prepare as directed then add)

2 c half and half

1 cup shredded parmesan cheese

Sauté first 7 ingredients until soft then add all other ingredients and cook until parmesan is melted.
